The BEST High School Basketball Team In Basketball History

Lonzo Ball and his Chino Hills are NOT the best high school basketball team ever. This basketball team had 4 future NBA stars including the shortest player ever.

There have been a lot of high school basketball teams that have been good and had future NBA stars, but this team didn’t lose in two seasons and was the best high school basketball team ever.

Now back to the video, Let me know in the comments: Is this the best high school basketball team ever? Also let me know ideas for new story videos. Alright let’s get into it.

There are so many high school basketball teams with a lot of NBA talent, but not like the Dunbar Poets. I have been seeing other people say Chino Hills with Lonzo, LiAngelo, and LaMelo was the best high school team ever and even though they had one perfect season, they weren’t always unstoppable and had tough games. And though they had a lot of talent, it still was not exactly Dunbar Poet level which had 4 future NBA stars. Oak Hill is always a candidate, but they are like an academy recruiting talent from all around the nation and even a team with Kevin Durant and Brandon Jennings was not undefeated.

The 1981-1983 Dunbar Poets went undefeated for two seasons consecutively and featured the likes of Muggsy Bogues, Reggie Lewis, David Wingate, and Reggie Williams all of who went on to the NBA. Yeah you might be going who are those randoms but David Wingate won a college championship for Georgetown while Muggsy Bogues became the shortest basketball player in NBA history. Yeah all 5 foot 3 inches of him. There were also 3 other D1 athletes. Reggie Lewis, who was an NBA All-Star before passing away, came off the bench and couldn’t make the starting lineup on this team. The craziest thing about this team was the fact that this was A PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL. All the players lived in the same neighborhood. To have so much talent that there were 4 future NBA players in the same neighborhood at the same time? That is INSANE! If you want a story on Reggie Lewis and his tragic career or how Muggsy Bogues made the NBA despite being so short, let me know in the comments down below.

There aren’t too many highlights from that time period, but everyone says that Dunbar high school basketball team was unstoppable, almost unbeatable. They won by an average of 30 points per game in a time without a 3 point shot or shot clock in high school basketball. To put up that many points and defend to win by that amount in a slower paced game is amazing. I know that they may have not been as flashy as other high school basketball teams or had talent that translated into NBA superstars, but together these players had a combination of talent and chemistry that made this team better than the rest. Add to that is the fact that this is not a magnet school and was actually a public high school and I just think that this the best basketball team ever. They made progress towards breaking racial boundaries, went 60-0 in two seasons, and won against many top teams in the country. They brought home the nation championship and cemented their place up as the best ever to do it, but what do you think? Is this the best high school basketball team ever? Who’s the runner up? Let me know in the comments down below.

The giveaway is finally here so let’s get 2000 likes for another sneaker to be given away on instagram, link in the description. Show that ALLDAY community power!
